The person selected for this position will be responsible for general interior building cleaning, will keep them in a hygienic, safe, and presentable condition and do other related work.   All work will be performed under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Hours are Monday - Friday evenings,  6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.     Pay rate is $8.50 per hour.

Qualifications

Ability to lift furniture, to use and care for janitorial equipment and supplies, and follow directions.  Experience in the care and maintenance of buildings and knowledge of methods, safety practices, materials, chemicals, and equipment used in janitorial work is desirable. Fluent English (speaking, reading, writing) is required.  Eligible candidates must have reliable transportation, driver's license & social security card, and no criminal record.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Sweep, scrub, and mop floors; vacuum rugs and carpets.  Clean, dust, and polish cabinets, furniture, counters, and woodwork.  Empty and clean waste receptacles, clean stairways, elevator, hallways, rest rooms, offices, and lobbies; clean ceilings, walls, window shades, light fixtures.  Assist in moving and arranging furniture as required; polish metalwork; wash windows, clean sidewalks, parking areas, turn out lights and lock doors and windows, and other related tasks as instructed.
