Ducklings

Welcome to the Ducklings’ room!  I’m thrilled to begin the new 2016-2017 school year with you.

Hello Duckling Families,

This is my third year with Child’s Day and I’ve had the wonderful opportunity to be with infants, toddlers, and the transition between. Knowing where your child is headed (developmentally) allows me to better prepare your child for success in their next endeavor. This experience, combined with my Bachelor’s from the College of Education at the University of Texas-Austin, plus my collective years in childcare have provided me with knowledge that will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for your child. My personal goal is that every Duckling feels safe, loved, and comfortable enough to explore their boundaries as they continue building the foundation of their futures.

Many changes will occur in our classroom over the coming year.  The children will reach developmental milestones in their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive areas of growth.  We will strive to provide an environment and curriculum that supports and challenges them in all aspects.

As communication is established between home and school, our goal is to provide a safe, secure, and nurturing place for your child.  Please share information about your child, ask questions, and provide ideas that will enhance the teamwork that is needed to offer the best possible care for your child.  The best form of communication outside the classroom is through email or you may also call the infant center.

Sincerely,

Sarah Ly
