Dear Colt Families,

My name is Travon Brooks (Mr. Tray) and I am very thrilled to be caring for your child this year. I am more than excited at the opportunity to be back at Child’s Day in the Colt’s classroom working with three to four-year old’s again. This will be me fifth year here at Child’s Day, all with 3-4-year-old age group, where I’ve come to love working with this specific age group and look forward to watching each child learn, love and grow. After spending my first 2 years in the Colts class, it’s a refreshing feeling to be going back to my old stomping grounds. I have provided a little information about myself below, so we can begin to get acquainted. Meeting and getting to know all the Colt children and their families are of utmost importance in the beginning of our journey as a Colt community.

I was born and raised in Dallas, TX and moved to Austin in 2007 to attend the University of Texas. There I majored in Human Development and Family Sciences focusing on Early Childhood Education. I have about 8 years of experience working in the child development field specifically with children aging from 3-5 years of age.

Being able to nourish and foster the development of children is truly a pleasure of mine. Working with children and their families is my ultimate passion in life and it is truly my honor to have the opportunity to work with you and your child this year.
