Hello Colt Families,

My name is Christina Schroeder and I am excited and looking forward to spending the next year nurturing, loving, and educating your little one.  This is such a special time in your child's development when they're expressing more independence through self-help skills and learning to better navigate their world through play, communication, and socialization.  My goal is to individualize each unique personality in our class and create an environment in which your little one feels safe, happy, and secure to be themselves. That, to me, is the foundation to learning.

I moved to Austin in 2006 to attend the University of Texas. I earned a BS in Applied Human Learning EC-4 in 2009.  While at UT I worked in their Child Development center along with interning at several local elementary schools including Patton, Cowan, Mathews, Metz, and Davis.  After graduating I began working at the Jewish Community Center of Austin in their early childhood program with ages ranging from 2-5 years.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to shows, and being outdoors.  My family consists of my fella Aaron, our little girl Kerry, and our dog Bella.  Aaron is a chef at the Tarry House, Kerry is going into 1st grade this year, and Bella is a toy miniature Pinscher.

My goal for each child is for their enjoyment of education, progress in self-help skills, and successful ways of communication.  I look forward to meeting you and your little one and plan to have a productive year full of learning, fun, and growth.
